October, 2021 ‘Mujer o Bruja?’
(Tiptons Sax Quartet & Correo Aereo)

Premiere: The Chapel Performance Space, Good Shepherd Center, Seattle WA.

Produced by Spoot Music and Nonsequitur for the 2021 Earshot Jazz Festival.

A multimedia performance with live music, video and story telling based on the role of women in culture from Paleolithic times to the Present, looking at goddess cultures, the advent of Dominator Systems, and Partnership Society through the lens of Latin American culture. Composed by the all-women Tiptons Sax Quartet and multi-instrumental Latin American duo Correo Aereo in collaboration with creative technologist Jude Dai.

This performance was made possible with the support of Jazz Road, a national initiative of South Arts, which is funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation with additional support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.  Funded in part by 4Culture.

Recording and performance of suite of music compositions for 21-piece chamber orchestra and projected video, based on current events and the political economy of war.
Premiere: Chapel Performance Space in the Good Shepherd Center, Seattle, WA
in 2017. Revised and presented at the Chapel Performance Space in 2019
